Tournament Rules & Code of Conduct

These rules apply to everyone who signs up for or participates in an XP Central tournament, in addition to our general Terms of Service and Liability Waiver & Release.

1. Eligibility & Age Requirements

Tournament participants must meet the same age requirements as our general rental/event policy: participants 13 and up may sign up and compete without a supervising adult; participants 10–12 require a parent/guardian's signed waiver acceptance; participants 5–9 require a parent/guardian physically present for the entire tournament. See our full Liability Waiver for details.

2. Entry Fees & Payment

Tournament entry fees, where applicable, are collected on the day of the tournament, not at the time of sign-up. Our advance-cancellation refund policy for rentals and private events (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy) does not apply to tournaments. If you sign up but do not check in or attend, your entry may be forfeited without payment being owed, but any specific tournament may set its own additional rules at check-in.

3. Check-In

Participants must check in with XP Central staff by the check-in deadline announced for that specific tournament. Participants who fail to check in on time may be dropped from the bracket and replaced by a waitlisted participant, at our discretion.

4. Fair Play

Participants agree to compete fairly and in good faith. The following are prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of any prize, and/or removal from the premises:

5. Disputes & Disqualification

XP Central staff have final say on all in-tournament disputes, rule interpretations, and disqualification decisions. We'll aim to resolve disputes fairly and promptly, but our decision on the day of the tournament is final for purposes of that tournament's outcome.

6. Prizes

Prize structure and value (if any) will be announced for each specific tournament ahead of time. Prizes are awarded solely at XP Central's discretion based on final tournament standings and compliance with these rules. Disqualified participants forfeit any prize eligibility.

7. Equipment

Participants are responsible for the careful use of any XP Central equipment used during a tournament, consistent with our Liability Waiver & Release, including financial responsibility for damage caused by misuse or negligence.

8. Changes to a Specific Tournament's Rules

Individual tournaments may have additional game-specific rules (e.g., match format, ruleset version, character/loadout restrictions) announced separately at sign-up or check-in. Those supplement, but don't replace, this general Code of Conduct.
